The 7th National Board of Trustees meeting of Aksyon Kalikasan was convened earlier today. For transparency purposes, we are sharing herewith the decisions reached FYI.
NEXT ACTIONS TO BE TAKEN:
1) Convening of a Special General Assembly (following section 2, article 1 of CBL) on January 20 2019 Sunday from 2-6pm at the Yen Center, IIRR back to back with the Zero Waste Leadership Eco Camp to be reset to January 19-20 that will end with a closing program from 1-2pm on Jan20. Call will be made to all members for volunteers for the organizing Committee of our 3rd GA.Tentative Agenda for the GA will include: a) 4 Year Accomplishment and Financial Report, b) Election of New Board of Trustees, c) Chapter Updates and Plans, d) Partnerships with IIRR and the Luntian Center for Environmental Governance
2) Pursue the Zero Waste EcoCamp on said date for paying participants @ 4,000PHP per participant. Currently there are 50 confirmed participants from 1,198 interested among the 35.4 T reached in FB mostly women 18-24 years olds
3) Directing the Treasurer to turn over all remaining funds in his possession to partially pay standing collectibles with the IIRR before the end of the year, 4) Convening Chapter meetings to orient, train on Eco Actions, consolidate, assess where applicable and plan for 2019. Schedules and venue of chapter meetings are: a) Region 3 Chapter - Nov 24-25 @ BSU in Malolos City, Bulacan with focus on Climate Change Actions, b) NCR - Dec 15-16 @ Bantayog ng mga Bayani in Quezon City with focus on Environmental Rights, c) Region 4A -January 12-13 @ Dahlia Ecofarm in Tagaytay City with focus on Zero Waste.
4) Setting the deadline for all membership fee for 2019 to be paid via our bank account no later than 20 December. Those who were paid in earlier annual fees but were unable to receive tshirt will receive tshirts due them for years paid during the GA
5) Recognizing and acting on payments due to former Treasurer Noreen Vergara on fees paid for AK legal registrations, income expected from the January Zero Waste Camp will be prioritize to settle her billing
6) Meeting to finalize proposal for partnership with IIRR and the Luntian Center separately will be conducted by the President before the end of the year. FOR GUIDANCE and COMPLIANCE
